That is exactly what inspired this business idea. Grown out of a need to get away from our own growing homestead, we couldn’t find anyone to take care of our furry loved ones and trust that they would all still be alive and thriving when we returned.

Hi, I’m Tracy Burns, Giddings, Texas native and homesteading enthusiast. This is my husband Guy and one of our 30 animals, the oldest at 17 years (that 125 in dog years!), Hollywood.

Raised on my grandparents cattle ranch, equestrian trained, grateful gardener and small farm animal parent, we know what it’s like to want to escape the responsibilities that day to day are required of a farm or ranch of any size. We wanted to provide the services we have been looking for but could not find. So, born out of need, Hired Hands Farm & Ranch Sitting is designed to give farmers and ranchers a break from the day to day. No matter how big or small, how long or short you need, we’ve got you covered.

From basic dog and cat care to rabbits, chickens, goats, pigs, donkeys, horses. cattle and beyond, we’ve got you. Go enjoy that much needed break. Your furry friends will be in good hands while you are away.

We also offer house tending, gardening, meds, weeding, egg collection, milking, turning out and mucking out services, pool care (by a Certified Pool Operator) and elder check-ins (by a Licensed Vocational Nurse), etc. Once you submit your information and requests we will get back to you with a quote based on your needs.

We are insured, bonded and background checked, all information in this area is provided upon request. While you are away we can send daily check ins, photos and video updates of your animals so you know what is going on around your homestead. We use state of the art software to streamline the entire experience and make it as easy as possible for everyone involved.
